how to shoot cool liquid drops
Have you ever wondered how these liquid shots are taken? Well, Liquid photographer Corrie White wrote not one, but two different articles on liquid photography for DIY Photography, one on and one on liquid flow, which is more of a heavier cream-based drop.

Icy Portrait Photo for Magazine Cover
When shooting the cover for a recent issue of The Grid magazine, photographer, Finn O'Hara, was filmed for a behind the scenes look of a cover shoot. The entire video is about a minute and half long, but still manages to highlight a few steps in the process.

Meeting of the Waters - Yarra Valley Waterfall
The Meeting of the Waters is a beautiful short walk in the Yarra Valley, Victoria and not a corny photography title I just came up with (honest.!). This waterfall photograph is a two image stitch captured with the Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 17-40 and Hoya Circular Polariser. I was quite impressed by the stunning tree but unfortunately it didn't fit the frame right. Instead two images were captured and later stitched in PTGui to better capture it.

edgy sports lighting techniques in portrait photography
You know those photographs of athletes where the dramatic lighting makes them appear to be more fierce than they already are? The kind where their muscles have so much depth and definition they seem to pop right out of the picture? Joel Grimes is a master of that kind of edgy sports lighting and being the gentleman that he is, he has taken the time out of his busy schedule to make a video tutorial outlining exactly how he does it.
